Family: Amaryllidaceae

Species: Aurea

Common Names: Golden spider lily.

Classification: Autumn flowering bulb.

Height: 30cm (12inches).

Flowering: Late summer and through autumn.


Where to plant info

Where: Grow them in autumn flowering borders or beds.

Grown in patio pots and tubs they make a nice autumn display.

They make an excellent cut flower.

Site: They prefer partial shade.

Lycoris will also do well in full sun if shaded from the hot midday sun.

Soil: Any rich, moist but free draining soil.


Propagation info By seed when fresh in spring.

Or propagate by offsets in summer.
