Hesperis originate from Western and Central Asia and are a genus of biennial and perennial flowering gardening plants. Leaves are hairy, narrow and toothed. Flowers white, purple or red and form in panicles of small star shaped scented flowers.

These are an attractive gardening plant and will suite most planting schemes. Where: Ideal for borders and beds. They have an excellent scent which is more prominent in the evening, similar to night scented stock. So grow them where you can enjoy their lovely scent. Bees are attracted to their scent.
