How to Propagate
and Grow Successfully


Geum are found in most regions of the Northern Hemisphere and are a genus of perennial flowering gardening plants.

Leaves are mainly basal, hairy, pinnate or lobed and ovate to heart shape.

Flowers are yellow, orange, red, saucer shaped and borne in cymes.

Where to plant info

Geum are a very versatile gardening plant and can be used in most locations in any garden.

Usage: Ideal for borders and as general bedding plants.

They are effective in cottage gardens.

They are excellent as cut flowers.

Site: They prefer full sun, they thrive in it!

Geum will also do well in partial shade.

Soil: Any rich and free draining soil.

Best germination temperature: 50 deg F.
