Erysimum
How to Propagate
and Grow Successfully


Erysimum originate from Europe and are a genus of perennial flowering gardening plants.

Leaves are dark green, mid green or greyish green and lance shape.

Flowers are borne in tight racemes on single upright stems.

They are related to Cheiranthus, the common wall flower, and are known as perennial wall flower and alpine flower.

Common Names: Perennial Wallflower, Wallflower.

Classification: Perennial.

Height: 75cm (30inches).

Flowering: From early spring through to late summer.


Where to plant info

Erysimum are a must have gardening plant and can be found in most well planted gardens.

They are a good performing plant with a long flowering period.

Where: Ideal as general bedding plants.

Site: They prefer full sun, they thrive in it!

Soil: Any rich and free draining soil.


Propagation info By heeled softwood cuttings from spring through to autumn.
