Corms
Corms are very similar to bulbs and are sometimes mistaken for them. But they are constructed in quite a different way. They have a swollen stem that is a food store, and it is usually broader than a bulb. They can be propagated by division by simply cutting them into several pieces. Each piece must have at least one active bud.
Cormels are offsets produced between old and new corms. These cormlets can simply be removed and grown on in pots of compost.
