How to Propagate
and Grow Successfully


Chasmanthe originate from South Africa and are a genus of perennial winter, spring and early summer flowering cormous gardening plants.

Leaves are mid green, long and sword like and ribbed down the center.

Flowers form on long spikes and are red or yellow and tube like.

Chasmanthe deserve a place in any mixed flowering bed or border, they mix well with most other gardening plants.

Where: Grow them in winter and spring flowering borders or beds.

Site: They prefer full sun.

They also do well in partial shade.

Soil: Any rich, moist and free draining soil.
