How to Propagate
and Grow Successfully

Cardiocrinum originate from the Himalayas and are a genius of bulbious perennial and biennial summer flowering gardening plants.

Leaves are deep glossy green and broad ovate.

Flowers are attractive, white, trumpet shaped and fragrant.

For best results it is essential to grow these gardening plants in shade and the soil must be moist but free draining.

Where to plant info

These gardening plants can reach a height of 4m (12feet) so are very often found at the back of borders and beds where they make a perfect backdrop for shorter plants.

Their fragrance is a pleasing bonus along with their attractive flowers.

Where: Ideal for the back of larger borders and beds.

They are ideal woodland plants and should be grown in large groups for the best effect.

Site: They prefer partial shade.

Soil: Any moist but free draining soil.
