Calceolaria
How to Propagate
and Grow Successfully


Calceolaria originate from Mexico and Central America and are a large genus of perennial gardening plants, some of which are rhizomatous.

Leaves have a spreading habit and are light to dark green, they are oblong, toothed, crinkled and covered in soft hairs.

Flowers are in very loose raceme clusters and are two lipped, brightly coloured with contrasting spots or markings making it a strange but interesting and effectively a good plant for mixed beds and borders.

Flowers appear throughout summer.

These are also excellent colourful gardening plants for growing in your patio pots and tubs.
